Layers

Layer names are not automatically translated by the software. The layer structure is configurable by the user in the layer manager.

A detailed description of layers can be found in the ELITECAD manual.

Location

The layer configuration is stored in a text file called layer.txt under the following location:

\<install-dir>/u/\<version>/\<branch>/glo/dflt/\<lang_region>/layer.txt

Modification

1. Load the standard layer configuration from the language of your choice, e.g. English
2. Translate all the entries using the "Rename" function. Stick to the standard layer definition and don't change the meaning or structure of the standard layers.
3. Export the layer.txt file to the of your choice.
4. Send the layer.txt file to the development team
