Create Pipe/Fitting

With the help of this function, individual pipes and fittings can be created and positioned within the pipe system.
By selecting the function, the property bar is displayed where the most important parameters can be set. The setting options in the parameters depend on the type. There are 5 different types to choose from:

General parameter

The following parameters can be set for all fitting types:

Elbow property bar

The following parameters are also available for the elbow type in the property bar:

angle_ Angle of the elbow

Reducer/Tee property bar

For the reducer and tee types, there are also the following parameters in the property bar:

piping_dn_ Nominal diameter 2
bs_line_da_ Outside diameter 2
bs_line_s_ Wall thickness 2

Pipe property bar

The following parameters are also available for the pipe in the property bar:

Function Description
bs_pipe_l_ bs_pipe_2_pts_ Type of entry: over 2 points or with length
bs_line_length_ Length of the pipe (only active if the input type length is selected)

Fitting type selection

The type of flange can be selected with this selection menu. The following types are available:
bs_fitting_type_pipe_48_ Pipe
bs_fitting_type_bend_48_ Elbow
bs_fitting_type_branch_48_ Tee
bs_fitting_type_reducer_48_ Reducer
bs_fitting_type_cap_48_ Cap

Parameter name

fitting-type
Name of the parameter record

database_store_
In order to create your own parameter record, the parameter dialog window is filled out as required, then a new name is entered in the text field and saved with SAVE RECORD.

database_remove_
DELETE RECORD is used to delete a record that is no longer required.

Material

pipe-material
A material for a pipe can be specified here. For example, the weight is calculated using the material.

Classification

pipe-classification
The classification for the pipe can be defined here. The entered value is used as the name for the class.

Elbow settings

bs_bend_r_ Radius of elbow
