Create Pipe/Fitting

Piping toolbar

With the help of this function, individual pipes and fittings can be created and positioned within the pipe system.
By selecting the function, the property bar is displayed where the most important parameters can be set. The setting options in the parameters depend on the type. There are 5 different types to choose from:
Pipe
Elbow
Tee
Reducer
Cap

Pipe/Fitting property bar

General parameter

The following parameters can be set for all fitting types:

Elbow property bar

The following parameters are also available for the elbow type in the property bar:

For the reducer and tee types, there are also the following parameters in the property bar:

Pipe property bar

The following parameters are also available for the pipe in the property bar:

Function	Description
	Type of entry: over 2 points or with length
	Length of the pipe (only active if the input type length is selected)

Fitting parameters

Additional parameters can be set here and saved as a separate record.

Fitting type selection

The type of flange can be selected with this selection menu. The following types are available:
Pipe
Elbow
Tee
Reducer
Cap

Parameter name

Name of the parameter record

In order to create your own parameter record, the parameter dialog window is filled out as required, then a new name is entered in the text field and saved with SAVE RECORD.

DELETE RECORD is used to delete a record that is no longer required.

Material

A material for a pipe can be specified here. For example, the weight is calculated using the material.

Classification

The classification for the pipe can be defined here. The entered value is used as the name for the class.

Elbow settings

The following elbow parameters can be adjusted:
Angle of elbow
Radius of elbow

Reducers/Tee settings

The following reducer/tee parameters can be adjusted:
Nominal diameter 2
Outside diameter 2
Wall thickness 2
Leg length a (specified)
Leg length b (specified)

Pipe settings

The following pipe parameters can be adjusted:
Type of entry: over 2 points or with length
Length of the pipe (only active if the input type length is selected)

Cap settings

he following cap parameters can be adjusted:
Cap Height (specified)
