Simulation¶
Control of the simulation¶

With these functions, the motion sequence of the kinematic simulation is controlled by the user. The parameters that were specified by the user in the parameter window are utilized. Before executing the motion sequence with the kinematics program, the individual components must be correctly prepared. After selecting the function, the entire drawing, both assembled and non-assembled objects, is analysed and it is checked whether movement is possible. If everything has been properly defined, the selected movement type is carried out.
This function allows a step-by-step execution of the simulation according to the set parameters. The movement is counter-clockwise.
This function allows the simulation to be carried out continuously according to the set parameters. The movement is counter-clockwise, either endlessly or until a specified or system-related end condition is reached.
This function allows the simulation to be carried out continuously according to the set parameters. The movement takes place in a clockwise direction, either endlessly or until a specified or system-related end condition is reached.
This function allows a step-by-step execution of the simulation according to the set parameters. The movement is clockwise.
This function allows the simulation to be stopped at the current position. The simulation can be set back into motion from this position either step by step or continuously.
This function stops the simulation and resets it to the starting state. The simulation can be set back into motion from the starting position either step by step or continuously.
End conditions for simulations¶
"Error: This construct cannot be rotated (No matching points)" means that the geometry of the individual parts does not allow for movement, or that an error has been made in the design. Movement is not possible due to the arrangement of the components in relation to one another.
The message "Rotation finished" means that all rotations could be carried out or that insufficient repetitions were possible for a definition line.
The message "Rotation no longer possible" means that not all movements (repetitions) are possible.
"End angle of definition line has been reached" means that the specified definition angle has been reached.
Tracing¶

Trace point¶
With this function, the movements of a certain point can be traced in order to visualise its exact path. The resulting line functions like any other drawn line and can be used or manipulated in the same way.
The central point of a tracing is indicated with an XT.

The line colour and type are set in the kinematic parameters dialog.

Note
It is necessary to create an additional circle that is part of a model in order to apply a tracing point. This is because each element can only be assigned a single kinematic function. Using an existing circle that has, for example, a rotation point already assigned will result in the rotation point being removed to make room for the tracing point.
