IGES

The IGES 3D import/export interface is an add-on and requires a separate codeword.

IGES import

	Interfaces toolbar
	File menu > Import > IGES

The dimensions of the IGES drawing need to be checked and scaled where necessary. Ideally, the IGES drawing is imported into a new drawing, in order to be checked if its quality and orientation are correct before it is positioned in the final drawing.

IGES export

	Interfaces toolbar
	File menu >Export > IGES

Currently visible 2D data is saved in IGES format. The saved IGES file should always be checked by reading it back.

IGES 3D import

	Interfaces toolbar (optional)
	File menu > Import > IGES 3D

The dimensions of the imported design model need to be checked and scaled where necessary. Ideally, the IGES 3D design model is imported into a new drawing, in order to be checked if its quality and orientation are correct before it is positioned in the final drawing.

IGES 3D export

	Interfaces toolbar (optional)
	File menu >Export > IGES 3D

Currently visible 3D data is saved in IGES 3D format. The saved IGES 3D file should always be checked by reading it back.
